and Overview.
The O.T.T. Pouch (Over the top) Pouch, is made from hard wearing, Quality Polyester Backed fabric. It is designed to fit over the rear of school chairs; the uniquely designed side elastic strips grip the sides of the chair when the pouch is filled and laden and does not slip off.
The largest top pocket has the depth to hold the day's workbooks; the second split pocket will house all stationery items from pens, pencils, crayons etc. The attached front net pocket is for the use of a water bottle enabling pupils to have a supply of water to hand throughout the day by being readily available in their own personal chair pouch.

Small items such as erasers/sharpeners etc can also be stored in the net pocket for easy viewing and access.
The pouch has also undergone a rearwards stability test under BS EN 1729-2:2006 on size mark 2, 4 and 5 chairs with the pouch loaded at 2.5Kg, and 3Kg respectively, the results have stated “There was no overturning”

Where did the idea come from?
The idea of the pouch came from a Headmistress seeing something similar in use at a school in Australia. She was very impressed by the aid and classroom control it gave to teachers & pupils. On this principal we have designed and produced a quality, durable version suitable for the majority of UK mainstream schools.
This product has been on a two year journey from design to development for the U.K. market. During research and trials it became evident that the majority of school used the polypropylene chairs of various designs. The pouch has been tested and trialed in classes ranging from KS1 to KS2.
This product is only available from the manufacturer and is sold direct to Schools for this reason based on school trials we beleive it can only best benefit the year group if all the pupils have one each. We appreciate limited funding is a challenge to all schools but suggest that this could possibly make a great PTA fundraising project, or parent aided purchase.
